A Dose of Charm was our very first audio together. I like to think it’s the charm that convinced her to dive into this wild adventure with someone almost twice her age, fresh out of college. Talk about living your brand, sweetheart!
I truly hope you can hear the evolution in our audios—from that first moment to the latest creations. Rika has always kept me on my toes with her guidance. “Use more of your growly voice,” she’d say, or, “This isn’t the right voice; try again.” Since our paths crossed last August, Rika has been the powerhouse behind Deep Voice Daddy, turning it into something much more than just an old guy grunting into a mic.
💖 Embracing the Journey
With over 20 years in my professional career, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some incredibly talented folks—people known not just for their accolades but for their amazing character. The list stretches back to a time when cell phones were a rarity and the internet was just a dream.
But time moves on, and many of those people I admired are no longer with us. It’s a tough lesson that reminds me of the importance of telling others what they mean to you, regularly. You may never get another chance, love.
What I’ve learned over this past year—about myself and the wonderful souls who enjoy our content—has brought me a deeper understanding of connection. The emotional experiences we create together were outside my realm at first, but they’re Rika’s universe, and we’ve spent countless hours discussing how our audios should feel. That’s where you’ll notice the biggest shift: there’s so much more depth in our latest works.
🌟 Progress & Growth
Now, I wouldn’t call myself a professional by any stretch. My attempts at fake crying sometimes sound too close to real laughter! There’s still work to be done, but progress is progress, darling. And the gems who help you along the way? Cherish them. I remind Rika regularly just how much she means to me, playfully teasing her about all the times she called me in tears over changes that could flip her world on its head.
Putting together these audios has been a whirlwind. Crafting 3–4 fully produced audios each week while juggling other commitments is no small feat. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a full audio fantasy machine, and I wasn't entirely sure what direction Rika would take it. From day one, I made it clear she would lead the creative vision, and what a thrilling journey it has been!
🎭 A Beautiful Dance
Rika has a knack for finding fascinating scripts across a spectrum of themes, which I absolutely adore. I never knew what character I’d be playing on any given day until I glanced at the schedule. Over time, she discovered the characters I excel at, and let's just say, my goofy demon roles have become a delightful staple. And of course, she has seamlessly woven her passions into our scripts, often featuring bookish themes.
It’s been a beautiful dance of controlled chaos—two people with no prior experience in their roles figuring it all out together. There’s a poetic rhythm in how the brand she created caught the eye of the MagicWave audio stories app, and I became an official voice actor. Rika has since developed that relationship into becoming a premier producer for MagicWave, collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Imagine this: within a year, you go from being a fan of someone to working side by side with them. That’s pretty incredible, isn’t it? Rika has a couple of those stories now, with many more to come.

This one-year celebration of Deep Voice Daddy Audios is a tribute to Rika, because this brand is her creation. Anyone can have a great voice, but it’s the great story that makes that voice truly extraordinary.
